Kastro is located at the easternmost part of Sifnos, built on a hill overlooking the sea.
Up until the 19th century it was the capital of the island and its defence role is reflected in its unique architecture. It is a settlement with a 4000 year history, the remnants of which can be seen throughout its area.
The rocky coast is especially popular to those who prefer large flat boulders when they go swimming. Seralia, a small pebble beach 200m from the settlement, will satisfy the rest of the swimmers.get to know Kastro
